Call for Applications
The European Union in the Pacific wants to connect with youth in the region and hear what you have to say about issues such as climate change, girls’ empowerment, human rights, and reducing inequalities to name a few. To do this the EU is setting up a Youth Sounding Board to provide advice and help shape their programmes.
The Pacific Youth Sounding Board will comprise 20 members aged between 18-30 years old from across the region. Applications are encouraged from Cook Islands, Fiji, Federated States of Micronesia, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Nauru, Niue, Palau, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu and Vanuatu.
The PYSB will bring together a diverse group of young people with a variety of experiences, areas of interest, expertise, identities and socio-economic backgrounds. The more diverse the better!
Successful applicants will serve for 3 years. You will undergo capacity building through leadership training and issue-specific workshops. You will also provide strategic thinking on activities the PYSB will undertake during its term. There will be a combination of virtual and in-person activities and meetings. A member is expected to devote 25 days per year to the PYSB.
